Profile

Mecka AI supplies the real-world data that robot AI models learn from. It pays people to record themselves doing everyday tasks, such as making coffee, cooking or fixing cars, using its own body sensors and tactile gloves as well as iPhones, and its research lab turns the recordings into hand-pose, full-body motion and 3D data. It says it supplies several top frontier robotics labs and multiple 'Mag 7' companies, without naming them; 1X was named as an early partner in 2025. The company says its run-rate revenue passed $100M in June 2026 and projects $300M by the end of the year. It is now also positioning itself as a robotics integrator that captures data at customer sites and post-trains robots on it. The four co-founders, led by CEO Josh Gao and CTO Jason Chong, came from fintech and crypto startups rather than robotics. It has raised about $128M, most recently a $60M Series B led by Sequoia in October 2026 with NVIDIA, Microsoft's M12, Qualcomm Ventures and Samsung.

Notes Reported Fortune (June 2026) says it is headquartered in New York; at launch in August 2025 Upstarts Media described it as Toronto-based, and its job listings are in New York, the Toronto area and San Francisco. Founded in 2025 per Fortune; TechCrunch gives 2024. Revenue figures are the company's own. A $500M valuation was reported by TechCrunch while the round was being raised and is not confirmed. Also listed under robot training-data suppliers.

Also listed as a component supplier.
