Shenzhen home-robot startup from Huawei's first embodied-AI hire; four funding rounds since March 2026

Startup · Prototype · Humanoid startup · Shenzhen, Guangdong, China · Founded 2026

Profile

Ola Dimensions develops household robots that improve through use. Rather than ship an all-purpose home robot, it gives a robot basic skills and has users teach it new ones in real homes, starting with makers and developers before mainstream consumers. Its first product is a mobile base with two arms, now with its first testers, and in September 2026 it released two AI models, OLA-Sem and OLA-Geo, for understanding scenes and tasks and for spatial perception. It also has a partnership with housekeeping brand Haokang Zaijia, whose staff demonstrate household tasks to produce training data. Founder Zhou Shunbo left Huawei in March 2026 to start the company after being the first member of its embodied-intelligence lab; co-founder Zhang Jing is a former AWS and Huawei product manager. It has raised four rounds since then, including a seed of tens of millions of RMB in April co-led by Hillhouse Ventures and 5Y Capital, an angel round of hundreds of millions of RMB led by China Merchants Venture in May, and an angel-plus round of hundreds of millions of RMB with Hony Capital and Topband in October; the fourth round was not reported separately. Exact amounts have not been disclosed.

Notes Reported Founded in March 2026, according to Chinese press. Every round amount has been reported only in ranges ('tens of millions' or 'hundreds of millions' of RMB), so no USD total is shown; the two angel rounds together put it above the Spotlight funding floor. One tracker's $40M total is not confirmed. No company website found. Zhou Shunbo is described as founder; a CEO title is not stated in the sources.
