Profile
THEKER builds AI-driven industrial robots designed to be reconfigured rather than built for one task: hands, arms and overall form can be swapped or resized for sorting parcels, packing clothing or handling bottles and cans. Its vision and control system adapts in real time without reprogramming, and it sells on a robots-as-a-service model. Inditex, Zara's parent, is an early backer and customer. Founded by engineers Carla Gómez Cano and Jiaqiang Ye Zhu, it raised an €18M seed led by Kibo Ventures in July 2025, then an $85M Series A led by CRV in June 2026, which it called Europe's largest robotics Series A, with Samsung and Bernard Arnault's Aglaé Ventures. It runs a showroom in central Barcelona and planned to grow to about 120 people by end-2026.
Notes The legal entity was registered in 2021 per Spanish company records; startup listings say 2022. Total is just above $100M and depends on the EUR conversion of the seed.
